Black and yellow mottled hard rubber, from American Art Plastics

This material is based upon an uncommon hard rubber used in the 1920s by penmakers Mabie, Todd & Co. There is a hint of green in the black, adding subtly to the complexity of the pattern. The figuring is, if anything, more lively and energetic than its vintage inspiration. One of our favorites!
